This update brings to light some of the RAREST Blondie / Deborah Harry records that you could possibly own in your collection! In fact, prior to being emailed the scans of these items, I didn't even know of their existence, and I have been an avid collector for over 30 years! It continues to amaze me on a daily basis the VAST AMOUNT of stuff that is STILL "out there", waiting to be found by some lucky collector!

As is always the case these days, I owe many thanks to several very generous people who have made it a regular "2nd job" for them to provide me with updates and scans of newly discovered items. Without the assistance of folks such as these, future updates to the Discography would be very difficult, as I am no longer personally able to collect for myself. This time around, I want to thank the following for providing me with information and scanned images that make up the body of this update: Peter Hogg from England, Colin Wilcox from England, John Boulter also from England, Marc Talbot from England (are there ANY Blondie collectors OUTSIDE the UK??...lol) and Oliver Breit from Hong Kong.

One EXTREMELY rare item that came to light this month has defied classification. It is a "Private Stock" One-Sided Test Pressing of "Man Overboard" from the UK. Now, anyone knowledgable about "Private Stock" releases would realize that there was NEVER any release from ENGLAND that featured "Man Overboard" as the "A" side OR "B" side track. This forced me to create a NEW SONG page for "Man Overboard"!

New additions to the discography may be found on the following pages: "Bootlegs~ 7" Vinyl & Cassettes", "Plastic Letters", "Parallel Lines", "The Best Of Blondie", "Rockbird", "10 Great Songs", "In The Flesh", "Denis", "Sunday Girl", "Picture This", "Call Me", "Backfired" & "The Jam Was Moving". In addition, I have updated the "Colored Vinyls" page, including 10 new colored vinyl records that have been added to the discography in the past few months. The new additions brings the total of Blondie / Deborah Harry colored vinyl records identified in the Discography to 130~! And THAT total does NOT include the HUGE number of bootleg colored vinyl "Flexi Disks~! And finally, 3 new Web Sites with Blondie content have been added to the "Web Links" page.

Links are now completed to pages containing detailed descriptions and close-up images for the following: "Amnesty Intenational"~ 7" Bootleg Picture Disk # 17, "UK Square Bootleg 7" Flexi Picture Disks (Set of 3), "Blondie: The First Album"~ West Germany Cassette (Chrysalis), "Plastic Letters"~ Greece LP Test Pressing, "Parallel Lines"~ Greece LP Test Pressing, "Parallel Lines"~ Japan Master Audiophile LP Test Pressing, "The Best Of Blondie"~ Brazil LP (1981 1st Pressing with 12 tracks), "The Best Of Blondie"~ Brazil LP (1982 2nd Pressing with 14 tracks), "The Best Of Blondie"~ Indonesia Cassette (Perina Records Issue), "Koo Koo"~ Brazil LP, Jimmy Destri's "Heart On A Wall"~ Australia LP, Jimmy Destri's "Heart On A Wall"~ Germany LP, "The Hunter"~ Venezuela Cassette, "Rockbird"~ Greece LP Test Pressing, "10 Great Songs"~ England CD, "Man Overboard"~ England Private Stock 7" One-Sided Test Pressing, "In The Flesh" / "X-Offender"~ England Private Stock 7" Two-Sided Test Pressing, "In The Flesh"~ England Private Stock 7" One-Sided Test Pressing, "Denis"~ England 7" One-Sided Test Pressing, "Sunday Girl"~ England 7" Red Vinyl, "Picture This"~ England 7" Yellow Vinyl Test Pressing, "Call Me"~ Austria 7", "Call Me"~ Spain 7" 1st Issue (A-101.973), "Call Me"~ Spain 7" 2nd Issue~ 1st Pressing (CHS-2414) with Green Label, "Call Me"~ Spain 7" 2nd Issue~ 2nd Pressing (CHS-2414) with Blue & White Label, "Backfired"~ Spain 12" Promo, "The Jam Was Moving"~ Spain 12" Promo & "Rush Rush"~ Greece 7".

New record and sleeve images may be found on the following pages: "Bootlegs~ 7" Vinyl & Cassettes" (Amnesty International 7" Picture Disk), "The Best Of Blondie" (New Cover~ Indonesia Cassette: Perina Records Issue), "10 Great Songs" (New Cover~ UK CD) & "Sunday Girl" (England 7" Red Vinyl),.

I have also been working on improving the sleeve presentation on the pages for those singles who only have one known picture sleeve. Previously, only a small "postage stamp" sized photo of the sleeve was posted under the title. I have worked to enlarge those and present them in the same format that the Album Covers are displayed (with the yellow frames). I feel this brings more attention to the picture sleeve and creates a more professional appearance. The following 19 singles have had their Picture Sleeve enhanced on their respective page: "Kidnapper", "I'm Gonna Love You Too", "One Way Or Another", "Picture This", "Union City Blue", "The Hardest Part", "Heroes", "The Jam Was Moving", "Living In Your Heart", "Feel The Spin", "Free To Fall", "Heart Of Glass" ('88 Remixes), "Liar Liar", "Maybe For Sure", "Well, Did You Evah!", "Strike Me Pink", "Screaming Skin", "Undone" & "If I Had You".

Finally, one new Blondie photo can be found on the following page: "Man Overboard".

Here's a nice Valentine's Day present from me and a very dear friend of mine to all you Blondie fans / collectors! I have just completed an update to the website. This update is one that is extremely focused in its content and adds yet ANOTHER classification to the "Bootlegs" Section of the Discography! There is now a section completely devoted to the "Bootleg Polish Postcard Picture Disks"~! Up until just recently, my knowledge of the existence of Bootleg Polish Postcards consisted of a single Postcard Picture Disk that was already listed in the discography ("Oh, Oh I Love Her So"). Then I received an email from a hard-core collector who has become a good friend of mine, Peter Hogg from England, who brought to my attention the existence of an "extremely large quantity" of these Polish Postcards that contained Blondie or Deborah Harry tracks! Peter literally spent hours scanning the dozens and dozens of these postcards from his collection and sent them to me for inclusion in this Discography. The "Polish Postcard" page in the Discography now contains 62 different entries!! I cannot thank Peter enough for his continuous contributions. If you were to check back through the various updates, Peter's name comes up nearly every time as a contributor. And, just as a teaser, I can let you know that I have literally HUNDREDS of additional Blondie records that Peter has scanned for me that I have not yet had time to get uploaded to the Discography....something for everyone to look forward to, as I am trying to spend more time working on the website.

SO, head on over to the BRAND NEW page in the Bootleg Section and drool over these fantastically RARE Polish Postcard Picture Disks.

December 31, 2010

Here it is New Year's Eve and what am I doing? Well, I sure am not partying! I am working on a website update!!! Woo Hoo!! I know this has been long over-due, but the simple fact is that I battle my health issues daily. I am going to try and focus more on the website. It helps keep my mind "active" instead of vegetating on the couch watching TV because I hurt too much to do anything physical. This first of what I PROMISE to be many updates is not all that large. I have decided that, rather than wait until I have uploaded a HUGE amount of new material before announcing an update, I will make the announcements more frequently, thus the updates themselves will be correspondingly smaller in scope.

As always, I have several people to thank for their contributions of information and scanned images of items from their personal collections they have sent me to include in this discography. This new update contains material from the following folks: Marc Talbot from England, Colin Wilcox from England, Teena Spencer from Australia, John Boulter from England, Oliver Breit from Hong Kong, Peter Hogg from England and Mark Stern from Texas, USA. Thank you to all these generous people who have continued to supply me with material over the years for the website. I couldn't do it without your help!

This update brings the introduction of a new Country of Origin: Ukraine. The dissolution of the former Soviet Union resulted in the creation of several new countries which are now beginning to appear on this discography. Adding the Ukraine now brings the total of countries represented in the discography to 60! In addition to a new country being introduced, there are quite a number of new COLORED VINYL records that I have never previously encountered in my over 25 years of collecting Blondie records. It seems lately that some truly rare and unusual items are suddenly appearing on the market. We have FOUR more different color pressings of the 12" "Call Me" "Splatter" vinyl series from Colombia, bringing the total number that I know of up to thirteen!! Some other new colored vinyl additions include a Red Vinyl UK 7" of "Sunday Girl", a Red Vinyl El Salvador 7" of "Backfired" and a Red Vinyl El Salvador 7" of "The Tide Is High". Also from El Salvador is a Red Vinyl LP of "Koo Koo".

New additions to the Discography may be found on the following pages: "Bootlegs~ 10" Vinyl, 7" Vinyl & Cassettes", "Bootlegs~ CD's", "Bootlegs~ Flexi Disks", "Plastic Letters", "Parallel Lines", "AutoAmerican", "The Best Of Blondie", "Koo Koo", "The Hunter", "The Curse Of Blondie", "Platinum Blondie", "Sunday Girl, "Heart Of Glass", "Dreaming", "Call Me", "The Tide Is High" & "Backfired.

Links are now complete to pages containing detailed descriptions and close-up images for the following: "Amnesty International 10" Bootleg Picture Disk, "The Platinum Collection"~ Russia Bootleg 2 CD Set (Alternate Issue), "Sunday Girl"~ Russia 5" Square Brown Flexi with Pink "Soldier" Sleeve, "Plastic Letters"~ Italy 1981 "Best Buy Series" LP, "Parallel Lines"~ UK 2010 Promo Give-Away CD from the "Mail On Sunday" Newspaper containing 3 tracks from the upcoming new album "Panic Of Girls", "AutoAmerican"~ Korea LP (Bright Pink Cover), "The Best Of Blondie Vol. 1"~ Saudi Arabia Cassette (Thomsun Original Records), "The Best Of Blondie Vol. 2"~ Saudi Arabia Cassette (Thomsun Original Records), "Koo Koo"~ El Salvador Red Vinyl LP, "Koo Koo"~ Saudi Arabia Cassette (RC Records), "The Hunter"~ Indonesia Cassette (Atlantic Records), "The Hunter"~ Malaysia Cassette, "The Hunter"~ Venezuela LP, "The Curse Of Blondie"~ Ukraine Cassette, "Platinum Blondie"~ UK CD, "Sunday Girl"~ UK Red Vinyl 7", "Sunday Girl"~ France Promo 7" (Pressing for French Market), "Heart Of Glass" (Nestor Pacheco Remix)~ Mexico Promo 12" Single, "Heart Of Glass"~ Guatemala 7" (3rd Different Pressing found so far), "Dreaming"~ Zimbabwe 7", "Call Me"~ Colombia 12" (Dark Brown Multi-Color "Splatter" Vinyl), "Call Me"~ Colombia 12" (Dark Orange, Blue & Yellow Multi-Color "Splatter" Vinyl), "Call Me"~ Colombia 12" (Pale Orange Multi-Color "Splatter" Vinyl), "Call Me"~ Colombia 12" (Orange, Red & Black "Splatter" Vinyl)(, "Call Me"~ USA 7" Back-To-Back Hit Series with Blue Label (Alternate Pressing), "Call Me"~ UK Jukebox Promo 7", "The Tide Is High"~ El Salvador Black Vinyl 7", "The Tide Is High"~ El Salvador Red Vinyl 7" & "Backfired"~ El Salvador Red Vinyl 7".

New Record and sleeve images may be found on the following pages: "Bootlegs~ 10" Vinyl, 7" Vinyl & Cassettes" (10" Amnesty International Picture Disk), "Bootlegs~ CD's" (Platinum Collection), "Bootlegs~ Flexi Disks" (Sunday Girl 5" Russian Brown Flexi), "AutoAmerican" (Korea LP~ Bright Pink Cover), "The Best Of Blondie" (Saudi Arabia Cassettes~ Thomsun Original Records: Volumes 1 & 2), "Koo Koo" (El Salvador Red Vinyl LP / Saudi Arabia Cassette~RC Records), "The Hunter" (Indonesia Cassette / Malaysia Cassette), "Sunday Girl (UK Red Vinyl 7"), "Call Me" (Colombia 12" Dark Brown Multi-Color "Splatter" Vinyl / Colombia 12" Dark Orange, Blue & Yellow Multi-Color "Splatter" Vinyl / Colombia 12" Pale Orange Multi-Color "Splatter" Vinyl / Colombia 12" Orange, Red & Black "Splatter" Vinyl) & "Backfired" (El Salvador Red Vinyl 7").

"Heart Of Glass" has a brand new sleeve being introduced in this update, with the addition of the Mexican "Nestor Pacheco Remix" Promo 12" Single. This brings the total to 26 different picture sleeves for "Heart Of Glass", the most for any single.

Finally, I have changed out the Blondie photos on the "Main Index Page" to create a theme following the 2010 "Endangered Species Tour".

July 28, 2010

FINALLY!!!! For those of you who have been "biting at the bit" for an update to the discography.....this one is for YOU!!! I have spent the past week working nearly 18 hours a day to put together a sizable update for the first time in nearly 5 months. I think most followers of my site are aware of my on-going health issues. Suffice it to say that this has been the primary reason for lack of activity on my part in working on the site. I will try and be more timely with updating the discography in the future. I know it can be a bit frustrating for a generous fan who donates their scans for inclusion on the site, then months go by and his/her images never seem to appear. I apologize for my tardiness in this issue, but I also can ASSURE you that EVERY scan sent to me is in safe storage until I am able to get caught up with the updates. That being said, I continue to encourage fellow collectors to keep sending me scans and/or data of any item they own that is not represented in the discography. It seems that in recent months, more new and some really obscure collectibles have been making their presence known. The sheer number of data submissions I am receiving is rather shocking to me, given how large the discography already is. How MUCH MORE stuff can be "out there"???? At some point, we HAVE to get a pretty complete representation of every Blondie / Deborah Harry release that exists!!

Recently, there has been some question that there is the possibility that some of the "off the wall" items depicted on the site do not really even exist (the green vinyl Japanese issue of "Kidnapper" comes to mind). That particular example I DO know exists, for, many years ago, I actually saw a copy of that item. But, I agree that there is the possibility that there could be some "phantom items" depicted in the discography whose existence is questionable. My personal feeling is that I would rather leave the item listed in the discography as opposed to deleting it. Folks who use my discography as a collector resource guide can use the material presented to their own personal advantage. I think everyone would agree that, if there ARE "phantom items" listed in the discography, percentage-wise they are certainly few in number and do not factor seriously in the discography as a whole. I welcome anyone who has their own opinion in this matter. Let's get on to the Update!

As is always the case these days, I have to rely on the generosity of fellow collectors to supply data and scanned images in order to keep building the discography. Of course, I do my own research online, but I do not have the financial resources to personally collect any longer. This discography update is courtesy of six generous people who have spent hours of their own time to scan pieces from their own collections to email to me. A hearty thanks go out to the following for their contributions: Peter Hogg from the UK. Peter has one of the largest Blondie collections I have ever encountered and his collection is FILLED with extremely rare and valuable items. Peter is probably my most prolific contributor, and I am deeply grateful for his hard work in scanning his collection. Colin Wilcox, also from the UK, is also a regular contributor and big Blondie collector as well. Colin has been a God-send to me, in that he purchased the vast bulk of my personal Blondie collection when I had to sell it for medically necessary financial needs. Marc Talbot from the UK is a big collector of Blondie cassettes and can always be counted on to come up with some really obscure cassette titles on a regular basis. Christina Maruhn from Germany has her own wonderful Blondie website. In recent years, Christina's own web-discography has started to rival my own....lol. I especially appreciate Christina's generosity in supplying data and scans for my website. In the cyber-world, there can occasionally be a sort of "rivalry" between webmasters and they can get very possessive of the material they present on their site. Christina has never acted this way in any manner. I met her in person here in Orlando in February at the Blondie show, and she is as sweet in person as she has been in my dealings with her online. Oliver Breit from Hong Kong is another collector, but is not a completist. He solely collects ONLY the most rare and obscure items....which he generously shares with me for my site. And finally, I want to thank Stewart Ord from the UK for sending me some scans from his collection to include on the site.

Since my previous update, yet another of those "Low-Priced" Hits Compilation CD's was released here in the USA. Billed as a Target Exclusive, (yet I saw it also at Costco!) the new album is titled "10 Great Songs". This update incorporates "10 Great Songs" into the discography. With the release of "10 Great Songs", I started thinking that there have been enough new titles issued SINCE the release of "Necessary Evil" to justify creating a new page which collectively identifies those releases since 2007. The new page, titled Life After "Evil"... aims to serve that purpose.

New additions to the discography may be found on the following pages: "Bootlegs~ Flexi Disks", "Various Artist Compilations~ Vinyl", "Various Artist Compilations~ CD's (Q-R)", "Blondie Covers", "Blondie~ The First Album", "Parallel Lines", "Eat To The Beat", "AutoAmerican", "The Best Of Blondie", "Koo Koo", "The Hunter", "Denis", "Call Me", "The Tide Is High", "Rapture" & "Maria".

The vast majority of the content of this update consists of completing the project which was started with my previous update: Identifying and cataloging all of the Bootleg Russian Flexi-Disks!!!
